Shore Memorial Hospital (PDF)

 

Initially a beta-test site in 2009, Shore Memorial Hospital installed two Anesthesia-Rx medication dispensing carts in their surgical suites. They didn’t expect that the Anesthesiology team would ask for more in the first week.

While the hospital already had successfully installed automated dispensing cabinets in their O.R.s, those cabinets were not specially designed to support the operating room workflow, unlike Anesthesia-Rx.

Shore Memorial has since implemented more Anesthesia-Rx carts in their other operating rooms, realizing improved patient safety in the O.R. and improved tracking and charging.
