McKesson Anesthesia-Rx™ is equipped with a series of features that support patient safety initiatives during surgery.


The machine is built to ensure rapid, easy and accurate identification of anesthesia medications in the surgical environment. Anesthesia-Rx's Virtual Pocket™ technology provides a visual roadmap that guides the anesthesia provider to the medication's location within the drawer, increasing accuracy and eliminating the need to type and search.


The anesthesia cart also leverages bar-code scanning technology to ensure accuracy during dispensing and restocking.


The optional color syringe label printer provides another level of safety. The pharmacy can assign colors to different categories of drugs to help the anesthesia provider more quickly identify medications being administered to the patient.


Anesthesia-Rx also has key features that reduce the co-mingling of drugs and ensure correct dosing when diluting drugs.


Additionally, Anesthesia-Rx provides an accurate, complete patient history of all dispensed medications for improved patient monitoring.
